Making The Most Of Your Partner Membership
“ALLi is an inclusive space, and we offer all our partner members – from the individual freelancers to the big global brands – opportunities to help, advise and collaborate with Author Members. As trusted services that add value for authors, our Partner Members are core to our mission of fostering ethics and excellence in self-publishing. Check below to find out how to make the most of your membership.” ~ Philip
Are You Listed In Our Author Services Database?
You get a listing in our ‘Find A Service’ database in the member area. Author Members, and other authors interested in self publishing, search this database for vetted, trusted Partners Members they can rely on. Partners are listed under both service category and territory, so be sure to keep your profile fully stocked and up to date.
Are You Listed or Advertising In Our Self-Publishing Services Directory?
The Self-Publishing Service Directory is a guide to our Partner Members, published annually and widely distributed, online and at our public appearances at Book Fairs and other literary events. All services listed are checked against ALLi’s code of standards and approved via the ALLi Watchdog team, headed by John Doppler and Giacomo Giammatteo and supported by Victoria Strauss, Mick Rooney and others.
For enquiries related to the Self-Publishing Services Directory, get in contact with email@example.com, who will be able to discuss standard and enhanced listings alongside further advertising and sponsorship opportunities within the directory.
Would You Like To Sponsor A Session at Our Indie Author Fringe Online Conference?
Three times a year, we run an online author conference, preach to the London Book Fair, Book Expo America, and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Again, contact Philip if you would like to know more about sponsorship opportunities.
Have You Offered Authors A Discount or Deal?
You can always advertise any exclusive or ongoing deals to our community of authors onsite. Special discounts and deals are viewable by our members in the Discounts and Deals section of the site. To add your own, visit the Deals page in your profile area.
If you have an offer you’d like to bring to author members, do get in contact with firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss your needs further.
Do You Take Part In Our Members’ Private Facebook Forum?
Many of our Partner Members chat with Author Members, answer queries and offer services in our private members’ groups on Members’ Private Facebook Forum. It’s a great way to raise your profile amongst our membership, by offering your expert opinion on all aspects of self-publishing. We also welcome Partner Members getting involved in dialogue with our author members, and learning from their experiences using partner services.
Please ensure any contributions made to the forum are not promotional but a genuine attempt to be useful to Author members.
Have You Done A Guest Post On The Author Advice Blog?
Got an expert opinion on an aspect of self-publishing? Want to share some industry related news or comment on wider trends in the business of books?
We always welcome contributions to our Author Advice Centre, and are happy to receive articles that will benefit our Author members and the wider self-publishing community. To pitch an idea, drop Commissioning Editor Debbie an email at email@example.com
Do You Keep Us Informed Of Your News Through Member Showcase?
Partner Members, like Author Members, can feature launches, updates and news on our blog, and in our Members Showcase which appears each Saturday. If you’ve got a new product or service, or a special limited offer that our authors could benefit from, make sure you spread the word and share. Submit your news for Debbie Young’s consideration: HERE. You can see Members’ Showcase HERE.
Have you shared your Insights?
ALLi gives advice on all stages of the self-publishing process, and we always welcome the chance to talk to service providers about the industry and their contribution. An ALLi Insight Seminar is one of the ways you can connect with our community – online seminars that aim to support our authors’ self-publishing endeavours, available to watch live via G+ or catchup later via audio or video.
If you would like to be considered for a seminar, or feel you have an topic for discussion, get in contact with us and we’ll see if we can book you in.
Have you got Creative Ideas?
If you’re doing or planning something exciting that will benefit authors, or if you have any ideas on projects we can help with, we are always happy to hear them. Drop me an email with your thoughts – firstname.lastname@example.org
