I'm Hannah McCall, an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, and I run Black Cat Editorial Services.

I offer sensitive, thoughtful, and thorough editing services, specialising in fiction. All of my projects are completed to the highest editorial standards, while respecting and strengthening the author’s voice. It's your story, and I want to help you make it the best it can be.

I provide four core services: line- and copy-editing, proofreading, developmental editing, and manuscript evaluation. However, each project is different, and I tailor my services to the needs of my clients.

ABOUT ME
I started my UK-based editorial business in 2015, and I work with publishers and independent authors. My personal interest is in speculative fiction (including science-fiction and epic fantasy), but much of my editing work with publishers is on general commercial fiction. I am highly trained, and now I teach fledgling proofreaders how to work to industry standards.
