During her earlier career as an anthropologist Annette Hamilton lived with indigenous communities in remote Australia. Subsequently she spent many years in Southeast Asia, writing on aspects of cinema and popular culture. Now she is following her passion for fiction and memoir. She has published a children's story The Priceless Princess, a humorous novella about cats in the city, Suburban Gigolo, and a collection of fictional short stories about life in the twentieth century, Revolutionary Baby. The first book in her memoir series Outside the Frame will be published shortly. A post-apocalyptic adventure/thriller series, Orphans of Apophis, is in preparation. She loves nature and the bush and lives and writes mostly in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney and on the Hawkesbury River.
