Hi there, my name is Daniel Jones and I write action thrillers in the creature feature niche. I do both series and standalones that blend elements of the Fantasy, Horror, Science Fiction genres.
Daniel Jones writes action thrillers in the creature feature niche. His passion for mythical creatures and natural wildlife inspire him to create exciting stories that blend Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction. The core theme in most of his work is survival, and he'll drive his characters to dig into their deepest selves, bringing out who his characters are and what they can be in the face of life-or-death situations. In addition, Daniel showcases a masterclass of worldbuilding in his stories. The places he brings his readers to feel vibrant, alive, natural, full of wonder, and of course filled with danger.
He grew up in a military family, moving all over the world. He's lived in 3 US states, Japan, Germany, and the UK. The stories he learned in many of those places are what fueled his desire to learn about mythologies, nature, and history from all over the world from a different perspective. And it's influenced his storytelling, and what he does with his writing. His stories are meant to be entertaining while focusing on what makes us human, and explore what drives us to survive.
Online, Daniel goes by the brand monicker Creature Author, and he works to support the author communities across multiple social media platforms. He's always recommending books he's discovered, spreading the word about cool authors he meets, and puts a relentless amount of energy into cheering everyone on. Hit him up, and he'll always have a good creature feature story to recommend!
Stay awesome everyone!

Hydra's Wake
When dirigible pilot Rogue Whip crashes in the Deep Forest Province of Shell, he takes refuge in an old, abandoned mining camp. However, he quickly discovers the camp is the territory of the four-headed hydra—a rare but vicious creature that mercilessly hunts and kills its victims using its “wake,” an airborne toxin that causes hallucinations. However, the hydra isn’t the only monster out for Rogue’s blood. The sadistic Lord Albert Richtoff has hired a mercenary to take out Rogue, confusing him with a spy by the same name. As his enemies fall under the influence of the hydra’s wake, Rogue rescues a beautiful but mute woman whom Lord Albert abused and left for dead. To rescue her and survive, the hunted now becomes the hunter. But can Rogue kill both the hydra and Albert, or will they destroy him first?
Hydra Tower
Trouble plagues the Kingdom of Grasen. King Edwards is doing his best to maintain peace for his land and support his allies around him. One such act of kindness is taking in Princess Lavina and her family for protection. But shortly after they arrive, a monster attacks—a fierce, acid-spitting hydra that even powerful magic can’t defeat. As the island evacuates, King Edwards’ son, Prince Malcolm, becomes trapped in the castle tower, unable to escape the hydra. His disappearance leaves Grasen vulnerable to political intrigue, and the hydra’s appearance foreshadows a powerful evil growing in the land. When the king is poisoned, Princess Lavina steps up to gather allies and fight for her new home. Can she and her allies slay the hydra, rescue the prince, and save the kingdom before it’s too late? Or has Grasen’s legacy come to an end?
Archon's Wake
Airship pilot Rogue Whip has crashed on his way to evacuate a group of researchers from the Harbinger Tundra. He and his surviving crew reach a town called Ghonda. What they find are empty ruins and big problems. Gigas Archons prowl the skies, hunting down anything in their territory, mysterious penguins are making people vanish without a trace, and the survivors suffer gruesome paranormal encounters. However, those aren’t the only threats on the tundra. The researchers led by Empress Isla Amenaza are searching for a mythical and deadly secret! Her expedition is threatened once the Juman Military arrives to claim her prize, and Rogue finds himself caught in the crosshairs. He’s willing to work with his enemies if it means getting a ride home, but as friend and foe alike fall victim to the terrors of the tundra, escape seems impossible. Can Rogue rally the survivors and find a way...
