Reviews

Rachael Gray, author of cozy crime Elderwick Mysteries

Reading this wonderful book, I found impossible not to fall in love with Apokeri myself. Jackie Watson paints an enticing picture of a gorgeous Greek island and had me longing to pack my bags and jump on a plane.

Anna is both a fun and interesting character - a younger, modern day Shirley Valentine perhaps. Through sheer force of will and her optimistic character, she wastes no time in building a new life for herself in Apokeri. Soon, she is embraced by the locals and carves out many roles in the businesses they run. But, love when comes along to stir the pot, all does not run smooth.

At its heart, this book is about the heart. About following your dreams, about loving and taking chances. It is about family, and the messy relationships people have with those to whom they are closest. It is a charming read and thoroughly enjoyable.
