The Children of the Isle: Bloodlines

Genres: Romance, Young Adult (YA), New Adult

Age Groups: 16-18, 18+

Formats: Ebook, Paperback

I have self-published my YA/new adult, romance fantasy fiction, The Children of the Isle: Bloodlines, both in paperback and e-book, with international distribution also catered for via POD. I originally wrote the first draft back in 2012, it was almost like a download, full outline of a story, but it's taken me years (on and off) to polish and refine it, to the point that I am now happy and finally realise that I have to stop editing now. I have had this published before as an e-book but removed this from market places as I knew I wanted to edit further and give it a bit of a facelift/rebrand. As a result, it's been a long time in the works, one way or another... but If you love character driven, immersive storytelling through the lens of low fantasy, historical, romance and adventure fiction about Druids, Celts, Romans, Witches but also with the contemporary twist... and more, then look no further. Publication date was: 28th January 2026.

Blurb -
Connie never thought there could be an escape from her hum drum life, and all that has been plaguing her. Until that is, she takes a trip South and experiences a very different reality…

While staying with relatives, Connie realises there’s much more to her extended family than meets the eye, and encounters Rhys, a captivating guy, who makes incredible supernatural claims she finds hard to believe.

Will she rise to these fresh challenges and come to terms with the new path in life that she’s destined to follow?

Love, although a little word, can span both time and space…

5-Star - Amazon Uk Review 'Enjoyable read for young adults. The themes of Druids and Witches with flashbacks to historical settings was well written, the relationship development and the unravelling of past lives and discovery of powers was interesting and empowering for the target readers.' (Feb. 2026)

4-Star - Rarewaves Review 'Enjoyed reading this, even though it's not my usual genre. Interesting concept and young adults would resonate with themes and development of character and relationships.' (Feb. 2026)
