Maha must use ancient practices that arouse evil forces or else the civilization of humanoids will suffer a tortured life.

On a planet colonized as an experiment of humans and humanoids, Maha leads a group of four friends in a desperate quest for survival. The binary star system has become unstable and is now a pulsar emitting X-ray that changes everything. Theirs has become the generation doomed to die from radiation poisoning, starvation, or worse. The once peace-loving society of Buddhists and Doaists begins to splinter into factions. Each group blames the other for their slow decline in society and health. Maha and his friends must find a path forward to survive. But the constraints of a dumb planet and being far off the grid of planetary trade routes lead him to the only possible solution. He takes a long forbidden path from an ancient Earth legend with no chance for return.
