ALLi Organization Membership

An Organization Member of the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) is a not-for-profit author association with a focus on local, national, local, genre or special interest. It aligns with ALLi's advocacy for ethics and excellence, education and inclusion.

How do I apply to be an Organization Member?

Use our join now button on this page or drop us a line at campaigns@allianceindependentauthors.org to ask any questions, we'd love to hear from you.

Before or after an organization joins, an assessment process ensures they align with ALLi's advocacy for the empowerment of independent authors, share our commitment to ethics and excellence in self-publishing, and our ethos of accessibility, diversity and inclusion.

We help you to:

  • Improve inclusivity and support for your indie members
  • Update awards, policies or guidelines so they meet the needs of indie authors
  • Give your members the very best and most up-to-date information on self-publishing
  • Ensure that all your author members, whatever their chosen publishing route, know all their options and can make the best choices for their creative works.

What if we are not eligible?

If there are any apparent eligibility questions or issues, we get in touch to discuss proposed adjustments, e.g. how to make your organization more open to indie authors. If either party decides, at any point in the assessment process and for whatever reason, that we are not a fit, fees are refunded and membership reversed.
